A real estate sales agent is like a matchmaker for houses. They work for the seller of a property and their main job is to get that property sold for the best possible price and terms. They do this by:

  • Marketing the property: They take photos, write descriptions, and list the property online and in other places to attract potential buyers.

  • Showing the property: They arrange showings for interested buyers to see the house in person.

  • Negotiating offers: They act as the go-between for the seller and potential buyers, negotiating offers and counter-offers until an agreement is reached.

  • Guiding the seller: They advise the seller on things like pricing, staging the home, and navigating the complexities of the sale process.

Essentially, a real estate sales agent's goal is to sell the property for the seller, earning a commission in the process. They're the seller's advocate throughout the transaction.
